Pour la sixi\u00e8me fois, le Hauts-de-France Brass Band (HFBB)<\/strong>\u00a0a remport\u00e9 le titre de Champion de France de Brass Band<\/strong> lors du Championnat de France de Brass Band 2020<\/strong> qui s’est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 les samedi 29 f\u00e9vrier et dimanche 1er mars 2020 au th\u00e9\u00e2tre Dullin de Grand Quevilly.<\/p>\n

Le Hauts-de-France Brass Band <\/strong>– d\u00e9j\u00e0 Champion de France de Brass Band 2019 –<\/strong> repr\u00e9sentera notre pays au\u00a0Championnat d’Europe de Brass Band 2020<\/strong> \u00e0 Palanga en Lituanie<\/strong> en mai prochain ainsi qu’au Championnat d’Europe de Brass Band 2021<\/strong> qui se d\u00e9roulera cette fois \u00e0 Malm\u00f6 en Su\u00e8de<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

L’alto solo du brass band, Sophie Binet-Budelot<\/a>,<\/strong> et les percussionnistes du brass band<\/strong> ont obtenu respectivement le prix du meilleur soliste et du meilleur pupitre de ce championnat de France.<\/p>\n

Sous la baguette de son Directeur musical, Luc Vertommen<\/a>,<\/strong> le brass band a effectu\u00e9 2 passages sur sc\u00e8ne afin d’interpr\u00e9ter une pi\u00e8ce impos\u00e9e (Lowry Sketchbook<\/em> de Philip Wilby) et une pi\u00e8ce au choix (***** Concerto for Brass Band, Percussion and Onde Martenot<\/em> de Ludovic Neuhrohr).<\/p>\n

Le jury \u00e9tait compos\u00e9 d’\u00e9minents sp\u00e9cialistes du monde du brass band : Paul Lovatt-Cooper (Royaume-Uni) et Bertrand Moren (Suisse)<\/strong>. Voici un extrait des commentaires du jury concernant la pi\u00e8ce au choix qui a obtenu la note exceptionnelle de 97,5 points sur 100 :<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Un tr\u00e8s grand bravo pour la pi\u00e8ce au choix, vous avez jou\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re magistrale cette pi\u00e8ce parmi les plus difficiles du r\u00e9pertoire du brass band. Tous les solistes sont de classe internationale et le pupitre de percussions est fantastique avec une mention sp\u00e9ciale aux claviers\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For the sixth time in its history, the Hauts-de-France Brass Band<\/strong> has just won the title of French Brass Band Champion at the French National Brass Band Championships 2020<\/strong> which held in Normandy (Le Grand Quevilly) on Feb. 29th – Mar. 1st.<\/p>\n

The Hauts-de-France Brass Band<\/strong>, previously known as the Nord Pas-de-Calais Brass Band<\/em>, will take part in the European Brass Band Championships 2020 in Palanga (Lithuania) <\/strong>and thanks to this new title, in the European Brass Band Championships 2021<\/strong>\u00a0in Malm\u00f6 (Sweden).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The band also won 2 special prizes : \u00ab\u00a0Best soloist\u00a0\u00bb for Sophie Binet-Budelot<\/a> (Solo Horn)<\/strong> and \u00ab\u00a0best section\u00a0\u00bb for the percussion players.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under the direction of its Musical Director,\u00a0Luc Vertommen<\/a>,<\/strong> the band played a test piece (Lowry Sketchbook<\/em> by Philip Wilby) and an own-choice piece (***** Concerto for Brass Band, Percussion and Onde Martenot<\/em> by Ludovic Neuhrohr).<\/p>\n

The members of the jury were: Paul Lovatt-Cooper (UK) and Bertrand Moren (Switzerland). Here is an excerpt of their feedbacks reagrding the own-choice piece which got a marvelous notation (97,5 \/100 pts.) :<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Huge Bravo for your own-choice piece : your performance was outstanding for a piece which is one of the most difficult of the brass band repertoire. All your soloists are \u00ab\u00a0World-Class\u00a0\u00bb and the percussion section was absolutely brilliant with a special mention for your keyboard players.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n
