{"id":15496,"date":"2022-05-01T10:40:50","date_gmt":"2022-05-01T09:40:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hautsdefrance-brassband.fr\/?p=15496"},"modified":"2025-06-07T19:05:52","modified_gmt":"2025-06-07T18:05:52","slug":"sinfonietta-no-2-quatre-impressions-pierre-antoine-savoyat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hautsdefrance-brassband.fr\/?p=15496","title":{"rendered":"Sinfonietta No 2 &#8211; Quatre Impressions, Pierre-Antoine Savoyat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>(Version Fran\u00e7aise plus bas)<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><iframe title=\"Sinfonietta No.2  Four Impressions (Pierre-Antoine Savoyat) - Hauts-de-France Brass Band EBBC 2022\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nlXnydYKYZg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h5>Own Choice piece of the EBBC 2022<\/h5>\n<p>Pierre-Antoine Savoyat pays tribute to French impressionist music of the 20th century \u2013 and the compositional giants of Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel as well as lesser known but equally important figures such as Maurice Emmanuel or Raoul Bardac.<\/p>\n<p>The work comprises four movements that evoke an impressionist view of a journey through different countries as if in a child\u2019s dream; the cyclical themes first introduced by flugel echoing a process used by both Ravel and Debussy, notably in their string quartets.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u2018Pr\u00e9lude \u00e0 un Pays Lointain\u2019<\/em>\u00a0 (Prelude to a Distant Land) is an imaginary Asian landscape of nebulous imagery and evocations before opening into clarity and resolution.<\/p>\n<p><em>Cort\u00e8ge Fabuleux&rsquo;\u00a0<\/em> (Fabulous Procession) that follows evoked a parade of exotic animals, jugglers and magicians \u2013 drawing ever near and more intriguing \u2013 the promise of mystery and danger, joviality and fantasy ever present.<\/p>\n<p>It leads into<em> \u2018Dialogue du Vent et des Montagnes\u2019<\/em>\u00a0 (Dialogue of the Wind and the Mountains) which pays homage to the finale of Debussy\u2019s<em> \u2018La Mer: Dialogue du Vent et de la Mer\u2019<\/em>\u00a0 of a rising sun breaking the tempest of a blizzard over epic mountainous terrain<\/p>\n<p>The work\u00a0closes with <em>\u2018Feria\u2019 <\/em>(Fair) a joyful evocation of the festivals in the Basque country where Ravel was born; revelry and excess that is brought to a conclusion of Ravel inspired colour.<\/p>\n<p><i>source : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.4barsrest.com\/articles\/2021\/1957.asp\">https:\/\/www.4barsrest.com\/articles\/2021\/1957.asp<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Cette sinfonietta est un hommage \u00e0 la musique Fran\u00e7aise du d\u00e9but du XX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle assimil\u00e9e au courant artistique des impressionnistes, les deux grands noms \u00e9tant bien s\u00fbr Claude Debussy et Maurice Ravel, nous pouvons rajouter d\u2019autres compositeur \u00e0 la liste, comme Maurice Emmanuel ou Raoul Bardac par exemple. J\u2019ai donc pris le d\u00e9fi de mettre toutes les couleurs de cette musique dans un brass band.<\/p>\n<p>La forme de la pi\u00e8ce est une suite en quatre mouvements distincts (dont les noms sont dans la langue maternelles des compositeurs), le sujet des quatre mouvements est le voyage lointain, l\u2019enfance et le r\u00eave.<\/p>\n<p>La pi\u00e8ce est de forme cyclique, les quatre mouvements sont reli\u00e9s par un \u00e9l\u00e9ment th\u00e9matique pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par le bugle au premier mouvement. Proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9 par Ravel et Debussy, notamment dans leurs quatuors.<\/p>\n<h5>I \u2013 Pr\u00e9lude \u00e0 un Pays Lointain<\/h5>\n<p>Le premier mouvement \u00e9voque un pays lointain et imaginaire, plut\u00f4t inspir\u00e9 des pays d\u2019Asie.<br \/>\nLe th\u00e8me principal (cyclique) expos\u00e9 au bugle utilise l\u2019\u00e9chelle pentatonique accompagn\u00e9 par une atmosph\u00e8re n\u00e9buleuse. Progressivement, l\u2019ensemble s\u2019ouvre pour arriver \u00e0 un second th\u00e8me beaucoup plus lumineux. Apr\u00e8s un retour de l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re n\u00e9buleuse, le th\u00e8me principal revient, et le mouvement se finit dans un cadre apais\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h5>II \u2013 Cort\u00e8ge Fabuleux<\/h5>\n<p>Un d\u00e9fil\u00e9 haut en couleur, avec des animaux exotiques, des jongleurs et magiciens. La premi\u00e8re partie utilise le th\u00e8me cyclique, le cort\u00e8ge semble arriv\u00e9 de loin, et se rapproche de nous. La seconde partie, plus myst\u00e9rieuse, \u00e9voque la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019animaux et cr\u00e9atures l\u00e9gendaires presque mena\u00e7antes, mais on retrouve vite l\u2019ambiance joviale de la premi\u00e8re partie et le th\u00e8me principal, l\u2019ensemble se termine en apoth\u00e9ose.<\/p>\n<h5>III \u2013 Dialogue du Vent et des Montagnes<\/h5>\n<p>Le titre est un clin d\u2019\u0153il \u00e0 Debussy, (finale de La Mer: Dialogue du Vent et de la Mer), ce mouvement est une \u00e9voque des massifs montagneux, un l\u00e9ger courant d\u2019air qui nous accompagne et une ascension qui nous fait traverser un blizzard, avant de retrouver le soleil au-dessus des nuages.<\/p>\n<h5>IV \u2013 Feria<\/h5>\n<p>Une \u00e9vocation de f\u00eates du pays basque (dont Ravel est originaire).
